Michael Monday Story

The Hunter

by Michael Sexton

Once upon a time there was a hunter, a bear and a planet. The hunter was not safe on earth so the planet came down from space to help him.

The planet asked him "can you come with me"? The bear said yes and came with him too. The hunter couldn't live on the planet and he died.

So the bear threw him into space and he became a constellation an the bear could see the hunter from the planet.

Sunshine

PRAISE THE LORD!!!!
I went outside today and I did not shiver from cold.
When I walked, I did not have my head down, hands in pocket and moving quickly.
I walked slowly and I smiled. And when I lost my car in the parking lot, I did not care because it was so nice outside.
I am ready for picnics in the park.
I am ready for daylight savings time and it be light until 8:00 pm
I am ready to go to the pool.
I am ready to wash the car and get wet.
I am NOT however ready to go camping, sorry Kevin, it will take a lot more than a warm day for that to happen...bugs...dirt.
This is the day the LORD has made; let us rejoice and be glad in it. Psalms 118:24

Can they always stay like this?

I wish I could hold on to this image forever.

First thing in the morning, Alex doesn't say much, I usually pick him up out of bed (rabbit and all) and set him at the table for breakfast. Once he has food in him, he starts moving, quickly.

Michael on the other hand wakes up playing the "what if" game. "What if all my clothes were dirty and I had to go to school naked..." I don't tell him that could be a reality since I do not have a Shirley!

They are growing so quickly.

One day Alex will really be this tall.

I treasure these sweet times of my children and their friends.

I love that we are raising a whole new generation of children who love the Lord.

One day this will be the church scattered.

I pray that they never lose their passion and their joy.

For you have been my hope, O Sovereign LORD, my confidence since my youth. From birth I have relied on you; you brought me forth from my mother's womb. I will ever praise you. Psalm 71:46

Happy Birthday Palmer

YOU ARE ONE YEAR OLD TODAY!!!!

One year ago I was with you in the hospital, Michael was holding you and Alex was asking if he could "pet" the baby!!!

You were tiny and precious.

You are still precious, but not so tiny!!!

You are growing so fast, I look forward to every moment I get to spend with you and your wonderful family.

I am glad that your mom and I are friends so that I get to know you.

I love you Palmer!

Remember Lisa to do something special for yourself because one year ago you also did something pretty amazing!

Happy Valentines Day

Dear friends, let us love one another, for love comes from God. Everyone who loves has been born of God and knows God.
1 John 4:7

I love you, O LORD, my strength.
The LORD is my rock, my fortress and my deliverer; my God is my rock, in whom I take refuge. He is my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold.
Psalm 18:1-2

My Wooden Spoon Broke

Well I now know that you can wear out a wooden spoon.

I use mine on a daily basis, mostly on Alex but Michael gets his share also. It just so happened that it was Michael it broke on.

It actually scared us both. He had assumed the position and as I spanked him it broke in two.

After he finished crying he said "Whooo, you broke it!"

My first reaction was that I was the worst mother ever, then my second reaction was that I needed a new spoon.

Alex came in at that point and realized what had happened. He thought that meant he couldn't get spanked anymore. I quickly told him that I had another one in my purse.

He got quiet really fast.

So I will be going to the store today to purchase two or three more spoons because my babies still have a lot of growing and a lot of learning to do.

I love them that much!!!

He who spares the rod hates his son, but he who loves him is careful to discipline him.
Proverbs 13:24
