My Sweet Baby Has Jesus in his Heart

My sweet baby asked Jesus in his heart a few days ago.

Alex loves Jesus.

When he wants to give Jesus a "high five" when he makes a good choice, he slaps his chest...because that is where Jesus lives.

We have been talking for over a year about what Jesus did and what salvation means.

Alex tells me all about Jesus dying on the cross, but he would usually end the conversation with something about dinosaurs or his Power Ranger House.

I knew that he understood the concept, but probably didn't fully understand the significance of what Jesus really did for him.

It is hard to tell with Alex because he is usually "out there" about most subjects and has an imagination all to himself.

The other night we were talking and he was very serious. He told me that he loves Jesus and that he knows Jesus loves him and died for him.

Then he wanted to pray. He asked Jesus to live in his heart and help him to make good choices and obey because he sins.

It was so sweet.

The angels are rejoicing!!!

Happy Birthday Michael

Happy Birthday my sweet boy.

Today you are nine years old.

It is still hard to believe, it is going by so fast.

Nine years of conversations, because you were born talking like an adult.

You are my sweet and compassionate child who loves and feels so deeply.

I love you.

I treasure you as a gift from God.

A woman giving birth to a child has pain because her time has come; but when her baby is born she forgets the anguish because of her joy that a child is born into the world. John 16:21

Fizzix + Sprite + Crazy People = Lots of Fun

We love Fizzix.
Fizzix are like Gogurts (yogurt in a tube) with carbonation.
Up until last night we ate Fizzix like normal people, as a snack on the go.
Last night we had Mary and Nichole over. We ate dinner and dessert and then five minutes later, Michael being Michael said "I'm hungry, can I have a Fizzix".
Mary and Nichole had never heard of them and Nichole wondered what it would be like with soda since it was carbonated.
That is what started the madness.
We put a little Fizzix in our mouths...a little Sprite...shake our heads and watch them fizz.
We (mostly Nichole) wondered if we could make them erupt.
We went outside for this.
I put half a tube of Fizzix in Nicholes mouth...a BIG dose of Sprite and she shaked and then she did erupt...all over me!!!!
We laughed so hard we almost peed our pants...the boys had a blast.
We were on a role, so why not get out the Kool Aid and sniff it to see our colored snot.
Mary was all over this one but she did not have a runny nose...so she sniffed an onion to get the juices flowing, sniffed some Kool Aid and voila purple snot!!!
We were rolling...standing in my kitchen sniffing Kool Aid.
So much fun was had by all...memories were made and bonds were formed.
I mean really, you can't spew on someone and not have a connection.
We will do it again.
Love you girls!!!

Let it Snow!!!!!

Somebody forgot to tell Mother Nature that we live in Texas.
It is snowing outside!!!!
Big fat snowflakes!!!!
Woo Hoo!!!
****UPDATE*****
It is now two hours later and the snow is gone and the sun is shining, but I will never forget how excited the boys were dancing around in the snow and then Michael in all his seriousness looked at me and said "we can't go to school mom"
So fun.
